What is Medicare?
Medicare is aUSgovernment-run health insurance program that reimburses healthcare expenses. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is the administrative authority for Medicare. It’s under the aegis of Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The beneficiaries are usually senior citizens above the age of 65 and adults with particular medical conditions like Lou Gehrig’s Disease or those who qualify with permanent disabilities are eligible for enrollment.
There are four parts to the program. Parts A and B are usually known as the original Medicare. Part C is known as the Medicare Advantage plan. It takes care of the deductibles and co-pays required under the two previous plans.
